Renting a house in Tamarindo is a feasible option for those who enjoy traveling. It allows you to stay at a house near the beach for a short period of time, then have the rest of your vacation time free to explore the rest of the country, and perhaps even Nicaragua while you’re at it. Tamarindo is a beautiful beach town who lives by the Costa Rican saying “Pura Vida” which means pure life. It refers to a laidback, happy way of living. This is the type of feeling you will get just being in Tamarindo, Costa Rica.

The homes in Tamarindo are all in close proximity to the beach which makes it convenient for you to walk from your rented home to the beach for a little surfing or tanning. You will also be in close proximity to various shops, restaurants and vending carts with fresh Costa Rica specialties. There are several surf shops in Tamarindo of various prices that can assist you with loaning out surf boards or even giving private surfing lessons. Tamarindo is known as one of the best surfing towns in Central America, which is a major reason many flock to Costa Rica.

People with summer homes or vacation homes in Tamarindo often put their homes for rent while away. This location is a favorite one by many tourists and vacation homes for rent often fill up fast. Its best to contact the home owners as soon as possible as to arrange a time the home is open for rent. You may need to plan this months ahead of time in order to find a home. The closer it gets to the date you want to arrive, the more expensive it is going to be. Renting a home can be a more affordable plan than staying at a hotel, and you can even probably stay for a longer time.

Sometimes groups of people will decide to rent a Tamarindo home together to save extra money. They will split the cost of the rent and all share the place. This is probably one of the most affordable ways to live in Tamarindo for an extended period of time. Your neighbors will more than likely be expats from all over the world. There are very few Costa Ricans that live in this area, but tend to live in nearby towns such as Santa Rosa and Villareal, Guanacaste.

One of the favorite activities in Tamarindo is diving. The Pacific ocean, specifically in the Tamarindo area, is home to some unbelievable underwater wildlife. Tamarindo is a great place for beginner or experienced divers. Divers here can expect to see giant manta rays, moray eels, and starfish. Experienced divers often like to dive on their own while new divers often like to go on diving excursion with certified diving instructors. Either way divers will be able to experience unforgettable dives.

If visitors aren’t ready for diving Tamarindo also has some amazing snorkeling. For the best snorkeling visitors should consider snorkeling from a sailboat. This way they can go to remote locations where there is more sea life to enjoy.

One of the reason so many people rent a Tamarindo beach house is, because of the unbelievable beaches in Tamarindo. The ocean water here is crystal clear. Many visitors enjoy spending endless hours sunning and swimming on these gorgeous beaches. There is nothing like sitting on the Tamarindo beach and watching the beautiful sunsets. Fishing at the beach is another fun activity that visitors like to do on the beaches.

One of the best ways to see Tamarindo is on a off road vehicle. This is a really fun activity for people of all age groups. It also gives visitors a chance to experience Costa Rica is a different way. There are many different species of plant in wildlife that can only be seen by off road vehicles.

Surfing is another great activity in Tamarindo. People, who stay in a Tamarindo beach house, can surf right out their back door. Tamarindo is home to some of the best surfing in the world. One of the best surfing breaks, rivermouth, is located right in town. Tamarindo is also directly in the center of the two famous surfing spots Playa Negra and Witches Rock. This allows surfers to cover all the best surfing spots in a short amount of time.

Whether it is diving, surfing, or just enjoying the beaches of Tamarindo, visitors here always have an amazing vacation. Having a Tamarindo beach house just makes the experience even more enjoyable.

The problems with buying a home for sale in Tamarindo are things like a lack of financing options, and contemplating if you will actually find the time to visit your new home.  You could of course rent out your condo as a vacation rental, but then you have to worry about finding the right management company.

Taking the first step of contacting a Tamarindo realtor is a good idea, but maybe even have him look at other places, like Playa Flamingo and see if that may be a better fit.  Personally, I’m love with Tamarindo and would love to be right on the beach and in the center of town.

Then of course you have to decide if you want to buy a condo in Tamarindo, or an actual home in Tamarindo.  A home is bigger, and may even have enough room for a pool.  But a condo seems like a much more secure idea since I may not be there all the time.

Either way you can obviously start down the road to Pura Vida by just visiting and taking a look around.

In case you don’t know, Tamarindo is a small, peaceful beach town on the Pacific side of Costa Rica.  And it’s one of the hottest real estate markets in the world right now.  Hundreds of condos and homes are being devveloped in this once secret paradise, but don’t worry about overcrowding.  The locals have kept closely adhered to conservation standards that maintain the natural beauty of the location.
